Roses are blooming

Other flowers envy them

They bloom twice a year

Sometimes, in my climate, roses planted next to houses will bloom well past season because they are sheltered. One year, when everything else was killed by frost by mid-October, I had a yellow rose in bud and bloom almost to till the end of November. Your haiku reminded me of that special year!

  2. Or even three times – I envy them.
