Chirping and cawing All at once this spring morning Sky’s blue no echo

What’s there to want more By chirping so rapidly The spring light’s all yours

Trills like machine guns Sparrows outside the window Sound challenging me

Year’s first encounter Dandelions in spring sun Bright but shivering

Cold but time has come Wintering ducks must fly home Hope it’s warmer there

Birds trilling powerful Tired legs on a mountain path Start climbing again
