Dark and only cold. Usual this time of year. Bare trees look patient.

Cold but the sky’s blue Camellias blooming up. Proud to be living.

Jogging crowd passing. Fallen leaves on the pavement scared. Danced up in the air.

Which are more beautiful, Leaves that fall or do not fall? Both cope with winter.

Facemask at banquet. It’s not a laughing matter. Patience this winter.

Fallen leaves almost red. Covering the pavement trampled. Bare branches shiver.

Smiling I can see. Behind a facemask eyes show. So beautiful at heart.

Sparrows foraging. Not much to find yet peaceful. Cold but blessed by sun.

Twining round the fence. The morning glory tendrils. Browned but still tightly.

A pinch in the air. But camellias don’t care. Red spread on the bush.
