Warm evening sidewalk An old cat sits mesmerized By yukata girls

As big as child’s head Peonies dominating A huge temple garden

Blooming but lonely Flower never seen before Away from home

On the green bushes Full of red azaleas Brown sparrows landed

Foliage greener The rainy season nearing Trees ready to grow

Rain beating the eaves Brings back childhood memory  Immersed in calmness

Immune to all rules On the road they freely fly Swallows have come back
