Earth Day

Earth is Mother Earth

All were born from and nurtured

Her love is endlessly forgiving

No retribution for being so ungrateful

But don’t go too far

Stop to think just for a day

To thank

Here is a beautiful response to my poem from Monica, whom I regard as my mute and granddaughter in Romania (https://lookaround99.wordpress.com/):

Mother Earth bears us
Whatever we do
We should be grateful
But we mock of it
We hurt her every single day
One day, because of her wounds
She will not be able to protect us
And we will face our ingratitude
Forgive us Mother Earth
Because we don’t know what we do

This is very beautiful, Ashi. I’m sure Mother Earth likes the poem’s message, too. Hopefully many people take it to heart soon and start to consume and kill less.

Thank you for the comment. Actually, I strongly feel I was inspired by your posting. I visited you site a while ago, but you know that I had to use the translation app and how such an app is. But I could get the “sprit” and those words came to mind. By the way, so nice to “see” you again. 🙂

Thank you. And yes, I know about the translations. They are often very funny. 🙂 Will now really try to post more regularly in English.

  3. Ashi -good to connect in our shared heritage.

    children of Gaia
    humans
    in harmony
    cell by cell
    earthed
    and embodied
    minds probing
    cosmic wonders
    souls singing
    with all souls
    cell by cell
    earthed
    and embodied
    grateful children
    children of Gaia

  4. Thank you my Tokyo friend.

Your poem is gorgeous Ashi and this is my response:

We hurt her every single day
One day, because of her wounds
She will not be able to protect us
