Red spots on bushes Camellias in the frost cold Each smiling at me

Small chrysanthemums Shining in the winter’s cold Sparrows take shelter

A pair of bulbuls Every morning I scare up Opening the window

In unlit alley White camellias’ strange glow Like sisters of starts

Hanging on to twigs A few amber leaves fight on Against winter wind

A lone sparrow’s trills Wish I could join in the call Someone might answer

Stuck on wet pavement Once the ornament of streets Fallen leaves now trampled on

Wintry misty rain No more leaves to fall from trees People are walking fast
