Leaves through the window Seen every morning for years Shake to greet each time

Alone in the house A valuable time to spend Thought sinks down deeper

Wonder what this is Shivering in spring coldness How are flowers doing?

First sparrows’ chirping Ever heard in many weeks We both survived cold

In the universe My life under my control For I am so made

With cherry blossoms Spring turned the corner to come New life beginning

All sounds far away Like a flower blooming alone Awareness remains

Flowers at the same place Bloom every year without change Not tired repeating?

Sun so bright outside Bring in the light to the room And into my heart

Tiny white flowers Bloomed to herald spring coming Made me nod to them
