Texas… I remember hitchhiking there when I was young about 60 years ago. A gentleman driving an expensive car picked me up. He took me to his home in Corpus Christi and introduced me to his family. They took me to a fancy restaurant that evening for a sea fish dinner. It was only about 10 years after the world war, and Japan was still on its way to recovery from the devastation. I was deeply impressed by the high standard of living in Texas, and the Texans were so kind even to someone from their former enemy in the war. Their name was Marks. I had their address but lost it while I continued hitchhiking. I deeply regret I could not even send them a letter to thank them.
Thank you for the comment. Mary. Please stay safe and well in peace. 😊 😊
Here In Texas….
🙂
Intense summer heat
Lush leaves wilting in the sun
Tree looking thirsty!

What a great memory!
Such kindness. How can I forget? I experienced many other similar kindness in America that time. 🙂 🙂
Humans show kindness to each other and the world changes forever, my friend.
Indeed.
