I recently had an issue with office. I wish I could remember how I was able to connect with Microsoft to get my older version of Office (2007) to work again. I think I responded to a prompt from Microsoft to re-register my program. I hope someone else can be more helpful…
Thank you. I’ll wait a little more and see.
I was more or less compelled to pay an annual fee of $99.99 to recover the service. But I don;t know if it was really necessary…
I’m so sad to hear that. I also had to upgrade the whole office suite recently.
I hope they’d explain why suddenly new charge. So far they haven’t.
Microsoft has a monopoly – I have had to use their programs because at one point, they gave away software to students and faculty at universities in the US for free. They cornered the market that way. It’s still what universities and students use. Now, it’s easier for me to buy my own access than it is to use the program that the college owns. I would have to pay any way if I finally retire…
Typical attempt to dominate anything by a big wheel. Wait until small people learn to communicate from heart to heart to unite.
Mine too, on my Mac. I’ve not had any luck yet, seems to be a widespread problem.
Yes. Let you know if solved. You do the same.
Suddenly they are working again. I don’t know how the problem happened and how it stopped happening. Thus it may happen again out of nowhere.
Very good, fickle fate strikes again!
We must watch out.
I must add that I was rather compelled to pay an annual fee of $99.99.
Expensive. I’m looking into alternatives, several free versions available with very little loss of function.
I thought of alternatives, too. But the problem is I have already stored thousands of my work pieces in Word. I didn’t want to lose them.
True. Given the glitches I’ve experienced I backed up all my Word docs on a thumbdrive, surprising how years of work takes up such little room.
Good suggestion. Thanks.
