  1. There was no need to use bomb. In 1945 US bombed Japan with impunity and they had no planes or anti aircraft left.

    US BOMBED JAPAN WITH DEATH!

  3. Stella says:

    Horrific act–tragedy.

  4. Genie says:

What America did to Japan with those two nuclear bombs is a War Crime. It is illegal to purposely target civilians.

Wonderful to note the sun on both scenes; a perfect reminder of the true importance of war, whether old wars, or new, to wit: the sun shines on. We humans, in making war, imagine ourselves as special, but, it means nothing to the universe; we only make hell for ourselves. The dropping of the first bomb was shameful, and has been made more so with every bomb dropped since….

I’m glad you were able to survive, my friend; I would have missed all your poems…never knowing I had.

Now USA Interest is back on Japan..Obama’s possibly the last world tour anyway..

  7. This made me cry. I am so sorry, and so ashamed. Sending you love, Claire

    • AshiAkira says:

The use of the nuclear bomb is obviously an ultimate outcome of a war by the use of conventional weapons. My feeling is mixed. Had the war lasted longer, I would have died by fire or starvation as a kid.

    Hard to press “like.” Blessings
