  2. The scent of daphnes is one of the world’s sweetest gifts. I used to have a beautiful bush, which died many years ago. I have planted three since, without success though the last one is making progress… but still no flowers.

  4. I didn’t know there was a plant called daphne. It is one of my favorite female names, don’t know why it isn’t more popular. Lovely haiku!

      Thank you. I understand Daphne is a nymph in Greek Mythology. One other blog friend of mine from England said she had planted a number of daphne trees and succeeded in growing one of them. She sais its scent is the best among flowers. 🙂
