At 65 I am still carrying some.

A delightful image! I am like Carl D’Agostino – I still can bring up some of the simple joys of childhood, and this haiku evokes one of my favorite ones: setting a leaf in moving water to see where it ends up!

  4. I love them all. Some are special — memories of childhood, though the materials were different

  5. Another good one, with the jump from the physical image to the mental one. i like the small scale imagery, bamboo leaf, childhood dream, yet the consequence is so big.
