I never was/am able to write a haiku. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I have tried but cannot get the feeling for it. The haikus I write seem forced or not sincere. You seem to write without trying and your words flow so freely.
For most of my poems I need or think I need a picture prompt. Do you ever need a picture?

I guess it is good we all write in a different way. ๐Ÿ™‚ But also good to try something new too.

Yes, I do need a picture prompt, but I donโ€™t force myselft to have it. I wait until it โ€œfloats upโ€ by itself in my mind. I agree that we all write in a different way.

I think they enjoy your company & your haiku.

I like the connection between longevity (survival against the vicissitudes of living) and the carp in the pond!

May be the carps knew you or have heard the stories ๐Ÿ™‚
